Brilliant free courses, plenty of choices, but come on this one definitely made me laugh: OU COURSE
You’re never too old to learn something new e.g. How to block an IP address.
There’s so much knowledge we have access to, with so many things to explore with our minds. We know about such things as the winter solstice and the cycles of the planet and now know why stone age humans picked the location to build Stonehenge. Apparently it’s located slap bang at the end of a natural phenomenon of deep ridges carved out of the bedrock, caused by glaciers, pointing straight towards the winter solstice sunset. It must have got heads scratching and wonder.
We’re no longer from the stone age, we have expanded our species and our knowledge. We need to stop taking from the planet without return. We need compassion, peace and the combination of technology and planet~sense if humanity has a chance in the future. Meat has to come off of the menu for so many reasons. I might stand in the centre of Gors Fawr aged stone at some time during this 2017 winter’s solstice and make a few compassionate wishes for humanity.
Do I have to follow traditions? No I thankfully don’t. Any one of us can pick out ones that make sense or make some new ones of our own. Personally I can see the logic to have the tradition of using up the contents of the larder over the winter and restocking it during harvest. Yet not being a sheep I find it increasingly difficult to follow the crowd and get excited at the prospect of eating the body of a violent death whilst pulling a cracker. Anyways, my son a few years ago, created a lovely new tradition:
Baked Beans on Toast Day ~ 25th December.
Some would say you wouldn’t keep a child in those ~*#! conditions, so why keep an animal of equal intelligence in that?
- Firstly, with the right conditioning since birth, people presume ~*#! for some sentient beings as acceptable and believe it.
- Secondly, I don’t need to believe it, but see people paying for body parts that have been kept in ~*#! conditions, because “Where there was ~*#! there was brass”.
- Lastly, I can believe it, as some would keep children in ~*#! conditions, because hidden away until found, some people have e.g. Genie a 13 year old girl found in 1970.
Yep, done that, joined a cult thinking it was the way to a peaceful, loving and fulfilling life, left and here I am not wearing a burning scroll above my head saying “Going to Hell!” LOL or should that read “mwahahahaaar”. Idiots to think and then act in such unkind, cruel and shaming ways to a child of the universe (a friendly place once you get used to checking out and questioning all the negative perceptions thrown at us).
I wonder if anyone out there remembers calling little me as a child by my nickname:
I think now I like it, but at the time I didn’t, but that’s life and how childhood flows into adulthood. I can see how my surname back then was so easily converted and now see the beautiful of cauliflowers.
Ever had someone say to you “That’s just what you think!” Well on the quest for seeing the truth in things, is it? Everything we say, surely is just what we think and thoughts are nothing personal. I’m thinking maybe I’d like to use a version of that expression as “That’s just what I think for now”. Oh geez, I had a blog post I was considering posting named [Trust] and I didn’t like where it was going, so I trashed it. Does that mean I’ve trashed my trust? Questions, questions.
I enjoyed the company of my colleagues last night, I danced happy and participated vigorously. Only how can I resolve the food issue? I refer you to my other blog and the post called: Held out hope again, oops! Do I name the establishment? I can’t remember if I named the other one of the previous years. They must know by now that they lost a whole groups valuable annual booking…
Who cares? Who needs to know? What next?
